Who it is for

Panelizers and framers that own a machine (FRAMECAD, Howick, Scottsdale, Pinnacle or an imported C89-type roll-former) and have no in-house engineering, or have more jobs than their engineering team can detail; industrialized builders who bought the machine and need someone to feed it; and architecture firms that hand their projects to a panel plant. We work as your outsourced engineering department, the same model we run for structural steel fabricators in Argentina.

What you get

Revit panel model

Every panel modeled with studs, tracks, headers, cripples, blocking and openings, coordinated with the architecture and the services.

Numbered panel drawings

One sheet per panel with geometry, piece numbering, screws and connection details: what goes to the framing table.

Cut list and take-off

Length, quantity and section of every piece; meters of profile per gauge; boards and fasteners. Buy coil and quote without guessing.

CNC files for your roll-former

Generated from the model with our Revit automations. Today we output to Pinnacle machines and to C89 roll-formers (Hener Machinery); for FRAMECAD, Howick or Scottsdale we configure the output from your controller specification. Before the first job we test one piece of each type on your equipment.

Calculation package

Cold-formed members per AISI S100 (effective width method) with the loads of your local code. In English or Spanish, ready for your engineer of record to review and seal.

Coil and machine specification

Which steel grade, thickness and coating to buy for your actual profile, and what to ask the machine supplier before issuing the order.

We calculate, your engineer of record seals

Everywhere we work, the authority accepts drawings sealed by a professional licensed in that country. We do the calculation and all the documentation, and deliver it in the format that professional needs to review, adopt the design and seal: the calculation package with hypotheses, loads, combinations and checks, plus the drawings. In the United States that means working under the responsible charge of a state PE from the start of the job, not sealing finished drawings. In Argentina we seal ourselves.

Two jobs in Peru, in progress

80 m² house · Oxapampa, Pasco · seismic zone 2

A fabricator with a new C89 roll-former, before buying the first coil

The machine supplier offered 0.90 mm G550 steel. We checked the actual profile (89 mm web, 41 mm flange, 10 mm lip) with the AISI S100 effective width method: at that gauge the lip does not stiffen the flange, local buckling wipes out the benefit of the high-strength steel, and the code requires designing with 75 % of the specified yield. We recommended a single 1.20 to 1.25 mm coil in Grade 33 / ZAR 250 with G90 coating, which gives more capacity per kilogram and is compatible with seismic design under E.030. We delivered the coil specification, the site seismic parameters and the design guidelines. The house is modeled in Revit with the actual machine profile (C89, 1.20 mm nominal, 1.16 mm base steel, Grade 33, panels up to 3 × 6 m for transport) and goes to the controller in the native format of that roll-former.

A structure quoted in China that has to comply with the Peruvian code

The fabricator designed to the Chinese GB 50017. For the owner we wrote the structural design requirements the fabricator must meet: loads per E.020, seismic per E.030 (Z = 0.45) and steel per E.090, with AISC 360/341, AISI S100 and AWS D1.1 as complements; 80 km/h wind on a coastal slope, C5 environment, 5 kPa storage mezzanine, pinned bases and the documentation list for the bid. We modeled architecture and structure in Revit, we review the calculations of the fabricator before fabrication, and we design the foundations and the industrial floor.

Project and client names are withheld at the request of the clients. Both jobs are fully remote, in Spanish, with documentation prepared for sealing by a CIP-registered engineer in Peru.

FAQ

Do you work with any roll-forming machine?

We work from the actual profile your machine produces: web depth, flange, lip, available gauges and punch set. CNC files are generated from the Revit model with our automations: today we have a Pinnacle machine configured (more than 1,100 pieces modeled) and a Hener Machinery C89 roll-former; for FRAMECAD, Howick or Scottsdale we configure the output from your controller specification and validate it with one piece of each type before the first job. If your machine uses a format we cannot reproduce, we say so before quoting.

Who seals the calculations?

A professional licensed in the country of the project: a CIP engineer in Peru, the structural designer and reviewer in Chile, a COPNIA-registered designer in Colombia, the structural safety co-responsible in Mexico, a state PE in the United States. We deliver the calculation package and drawings prepared for that review and answer the reviewer's questions. In Argentina we seal ourselves.

Which code do you design to?

Loads, wind and seismic per the code of the project's country; cold-formed members per AISI S100 where the local code does not cover them. We have worked with E.020/E.030/E.090 (Peru), CIRSOC (Argentina) and AISI S100, and we prepare NCh 427/2, NSR-10 F.4, NTC and EN 1993-1-3 packages on request.

What do you need to quote?

Architectural drawings (plans, sections, elevations), the project location, your profile and machine data (data sheet or supplier quote) and the soil report if you have one. You get a fixed quote within 24 business hours, per square meter or per project, with deliverables and lead time in writing.

Price, lead times and payment?

USD 6 to 10 per square meter of built area for the full package (panel model, drawings, cut list, CNC files and calculation package), depending on repetition and complexity; repetitive work (housing developments, modules) sits at the bottom of the range. Single-family homes up to 200 m²: 10 to 15 business days from final architectural drawings; up to 400 m², 15 to 25 business days. Fixed quote within 24 business hours. We invoice as an export of services and get paid by international wire transfer.
